A leading North Sea operator is seeking an experienced Material Focal Point to support drilling and wells operations on a maternity cover contract starting in September 2026. This role will be responsible for ensuring critical materials are available when required, supporting efficient operational delivery while maintaining effective inventory control and strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring materials are available to support drilling programme requirements
- Managing inventory levels, replenishment activities and contingency stock
- Coordinating material movements and resolving supply-related issues
- Leading planning activities with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Supporting sourcing decisions and surplus materials management
- Maintaining accurate SAP records and contributing to operational reporting
- Driving continuous improvement across materials management processes
About you:
- Strong materials management experience within the energy sector
- Proficient SAP user with materials planning experience
- Knowledge of end-to-end materials management and buying processes
- Understanding of warehouse and logistics operations
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders and disciplines
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced operational environment
