Bridgend Aggregates are looking for an Office Administrator to join our family run business of supplying quarry and ready mix concrete from our site at King Edward, Turriff . The role of office administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation in the office. You will provide essential administrative support, manage day-to-day administrative tasks, and maintain a productive work environment. The ideal candidate will be an organised, self-motivated problem solver with exceptional communication skills and a keen eye for detail. Office Administrator Duties & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
- Overseeing day-to-day office functions to ensure the office runs smoothly and efficiently to include emails, phone calls and post and directing enquiries to the appropriate personnel
- Providing administrative support for scan and save delivery notes, waste transfers, advice notes and purchase orders
- Communicate with HR staff absences for holidays and sickness
- Process purchase orders and invoicing for the quarry/ready mix concrete and haulage operations
- Provide customer quotes, process customer orders and liaise customer deliveries
- Support weighbridge operations with regard to order inputs/delivery to customer sites/cash sales
- Maintaining inventory of office supplies and placing orders as necessary.
- Support staff with quotes and renewals of Utility contracts
- Processing quarterly tax returns
- Support in processing of Company Quality Management Systems
- Maintaining and organising office files, both physical and digital.
- Assisting in the development and enforcement of office policies and procedures.
- Performing data entry tasks and preparing regular reports for management review.
Qualifications & Skills
- Good academic qualifications, minimum 5 Standard Grades including Maths and English
- Previous experience in office administration or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with office management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive office culture.
Pay: £25,420.00-£40,072.48 per year
