Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 per year (depending on qualifications and experience)
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Shifts: Flexible shifts including participation in the on-call rota
Shift Times: In line with the needs of the service, including out-of-hours support

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a Children's Residential Home located in Wirral, supporting children and young people aged 7-17.
This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Birkenhead, Wallasey, Bebington, Heswall, Ellesmere Port, Chester, Neston, Hoylake, West Kirby and surrounding areas.
As an experienced Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring children and young people receive safe, effective and person-centred care. You will provide strong leadership to the care team, promote positive outcomes for young people and help maintain a nurturing, structured and supportive environment.
You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of safeguarding, quality assurance and compliance, working closely with young people, families, professionals and external agencies to ensure care is delivered in line with the home's Statement of Purpose, Ofsted requirements and Children's Homes Regulations 2015.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) required for qualified salary rate
Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a senior role within a Children's Residential Home or similar setting
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations 2015
Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs, including EBD and looked-after children
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Ability to oversee care plans, risk assessments and reviews
Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
Full UK driving licence
Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
