Bluestones Medical Nursing Agency is currently recruiting experienced A&E Nurses to work within the Emergency Department at Southport Hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Emergency Department Nurses looking for flexible agency work within a busy hospital environment. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergency medical conditions.
- Provide safe, effective and compassionate nursing care to patients within the A&E department.

Assess, monitor and manage patients presenting with a wide range of medical and traumatic conditions.

Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and prioritise care according to clinical need.

Recognise and respond promptly to patients whose condition is deteriorating.

Administer medications and treatments safely in line with clinical guidelines.

Carry out clinical procedures within your scope of practice and level of competence.

Monitor patients and escalate any concerns appropriately.

Work effectively within the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Assist with the management of acutely unwell and critically ill patients.

Support the assessment and treatment of patients attending the Emergency Department.

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

Provide effective handovers to colleagues and other healthcare professionals.

Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and carers.

Maintain patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures.

Comply with hospital policies, procedures and professional standards.

Ensure all care is delivered in accordance with the NMC Code.
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.

Recent and relevant experience working within an A&E, Emergency Department or equivalent acute setting.

Strong clinical assessment and emergency nursing skills.

Experience caring for patients with a wide range of urgent and emergency conditions.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and patient-centred care.

Current mandatory training relevant to the role.

Right to work in the UK.
