Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precise components according to specifications. Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines, including programming and calibration using CAD and SolidWorks files
- Operate milling machines and other CNC equipment with precision and efficiency
- Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality of parts produced
- Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and troubleshooting on CNC machinery
- Handle materials safely, ensuring proper loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products
- Use hand tools and tooling to assist with machine setup and minor repairs
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to meet production requirements
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety standards
- Document production data accurately for quality control purposes
- Assist in assembly or welding tasks as needed within the manufacturing process
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, milling, or machining environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CNC programming software such as CAD or SolidWorks
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, materials handling, and machine operation
- Ability to perform basic maths calculations relevant to measurements and tolerances
- Experience with warehouse operations or assembly lines is advantageous
- Competence in using hand tools and performing basic welding tasks is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for quality assurance
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
