Hours: 40 hours per week, worked over 7 days
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead a busy bistro-style restaurant operation within a high-profile visitor attraction. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional who enjoys delivering exceptional food standards while leading and developing a successful kitchen team.
Offering an excellent work-life balance, this role has no regular late evenings or night shifts, although occasional support may be required for special events. Weekend time off is available on a rota basis, and the business closes for three days over Christmas.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the day-to-day running of a busy kitchen operation.
· Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service delivery.
· Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team.
· Support front-of-house teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
· Manage stock control, storage, wastage, and stock taking procedures.
· Maintain compliance with HACCP, food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety requirements.
· Oversee kitchen cleanliness and ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.
· Identify and implement training and development opportunities for team members.
· Ensure operational standards and procedures are consistently adhered to.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· A minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory chef position within hospitality, catering, or a similar environment.
· A current HACCP/Food Hygiene qualification.
· Experience managing food safety and hygiene standards within a high-volume food operation.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
· The ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
· Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
