Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. Duties
- Prepare and dispense prescribed medications in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
- Assist pharmacists with medication administration and patient consultations when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of dispensed medicines and patient information
- Ensure the correct storage, labelling, and handling of pharmaceutical products
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage
- Adhere to health and safety standards, including infection control procedures and confidentiality policies
Experience
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmaceutical regulations
- Strong commitment to patient care, confidentiality, and accuracy in dispensing medicines
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly with patients and healthcare professionals
- Experience using Titan PMR (or similar pharmacy systems) is desirable but not essential –full training will be provided
