We're a local, well-established cleaning company growing across York and the surrounding villages, and we're on the lookout for a hardworking domestic cleaner to join our team on a self-employed basis. If you take real pride in a job well done and want steady, local, daytime work - without the hassle of finding your own clients - we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll earn & the hours
- £14 per hour
- Around 16–20 hours per week, with the flexibility to build the hours around you and your family
- Daytime, school-friendly hours (typically 9:30am–2:30pm) - no evenings, no weekends
- Regular weekly and fortnightly clients, on set days and times
- Guaranteed hours - although the role is self-employed, we put measures in place so your hours stay secure
- Year-round work that carries on right through the school holidays
- An immediate start - we have clients in York ready and waiting

What a typical day looks like
Cleaning private homes to a high standard - kitchens and bathrooms, dusting and polishing, vacuuming and mopping, and generally leaving each home sparkling. Cleaning products and equipment are provided in each home, so you simply turn up and do what you do best.
You'll need to be / have
- A full UK driving licence and your own car - essential, as you'll travel between local homes
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy, with a keen eye for detail
- Warm, friendly and professional in clients' homes
- Happy to work on a self-employed basis (we'll guide you through it - it's simpler than most people expect)
- Experience is a lovely bonus, but not essential - the right attitude matters most
- References and a DBS check will be requested (it reassures our clients, too)
