Job Vacancy – Cleaner
A local community club is seeking to appoint a reliable and conscientious cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and visitors.
Hours of Work:
7 hours per week, to be worked across 7 days.
The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out general cleaning duties to a high standard. The specific working pattern, duties, and expectations of the role will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.
The ideal applicant will be dependable, have a good eye for detail, and be able to work independently.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal in designated areas
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively to maintain cleanliness standards
- Sanitize restrooms, to promote health and safety
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper as needed
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent quality across all spaces
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management
- Maintain a tidy storage of cleaning supplies and equipment after use
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, tools, and safety protocols is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to strict cleanliness standards
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining hygiene standards
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts
