HVAP Shift Leader
Location: Wembley
Salary: Up to £58,000*
Hours: Day and Night Shifts 7 - 7 (4 on, 4 off, 6 on, 4 off, 4 on, 6 off)
CTR are currently recruiting for an experienced HVAP Shift Leader to work across critical building services infrastructure.
You will oversee electrical systems including HV/LV, UPS, PDUs, distribution boards, generators and ATS, alongside mechanical systems such as CRAC units, chillers, cooling towers, HVAC and BMS.
As an Authorised Person, you will ensure all safety documentation is completed to a high standard, while maintaining compliance with company policies and safe systems of work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate shift engineering operations within a critical environment
- Monitor and manage plant performance via BMS and CAFM systems
- Ensure all PPMs, reactive tasks, and statutory compliance activities are completed within SLA
- Manage HVAP responsibilities including isolations, permits to work, and safe systems of work
- Oversee incident management, escalations, and emergency response procedures
- Maintain accurate shift logs, technical reports, and operational documentation
- Supervise contractors and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery
- Support energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide shift cover and operational support when required
Requirements:
- NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Previous experience in a critical environment/data centre/high-profile commercial site
- HV Authorised Person (HVAP) status
- Strong understanding of critical M&E systems, BMS, and CAFM platforms
- Experience leading engineering teams in a shift environment
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
