Yoke Vans designs and manufactures storage and conversion products for commercial vehicles. We are looking for a capable, organised person to join our sales and customer-service team.
This is primarily an inbound role. Our customers usually approach us with an existing requirement, so the role is less about cold calling and more about understanding what they need, providing accurate advice and quotations, and managing their enquiry through to booking and handover.
You will initially work closely with our experienced team to learn our products, systems and processes. As your knowledge develops, you will take independent ownership of customer enquiries while continuing to support the wider sales and customer-service team.
Key responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries by phone, email, WhatsApp, social media and in person.
- Understand customers' vehicles, requirements, timescales and intended use.
- Prepare accurate quotations and clearly explain products, options, prices and lead times.
- Follow up quotations and convert suitable enquiries into confirmed orders and bookings.
- Set realistic expectations and avoid commitments that conflict with manufacturing capacity.
- Schedule work correctly, coordinate changes and keep customers informed.
- Handle routine customer problems and complaints calmly and constructively.
- Keep CRM, helpdesk and scheduling records complete, accurate and up to date.
- Work within agreed pricing, booking and customer-service guidelines.
- Escalate unusual specifications, significant complaints, discounts, refunds and scheduling conflicts appropriately.
- Provide dependable coverage and support to colleagues during busy periods.
- Identify recurring customer questions and practical process improvements.
About you
We welcome applications from strong customer-service candidates as well as people with sales experience. Most of our sales are inbound, so success depends on listening carefully, taking ownership and following work through accurately rather than using high-pressure sales tactics.
You should be able to:
- Communicate confidently and professionally by phone and in writing.
- Manage several enquiries across different channels without losing detail.
- Work accurately with prices, measurements and product information.
- Learn technical products, systems and processes.
- Maintain clear and reliable records.
- Work independently after training while recognising when to ask for support.
- Stay calm and organised when priorities change or a customer raises a problem.
Experience that would be useful

- Preparing quotations or processing orders.
- Inbound sales or sales administration.

- Handling customer complaints.

Previous automotive or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. Full product and system training will be provided.
