Job Title: Dispensing Assistant (full time)
Location: Aberdeen (Summerhill Branch)
Hours: Mon- Fri 09:00-17:30 (1 hour lunch break)
Dickies Pharmacy is a well-established, independent, family-run business with seven locations in Aberdeen and additional branches in Forfar and Perth. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care and service to our local communities. We are currently looking for a dispenser to join our team on a part-time basis.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will support the daily operations of the pharmacy under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a real healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispensing and assembling prescriptions accurately
- Labelling medication and preparing prescription bags
- Providing excellent customer service at the counter and over the phone/email
- Offering advice and selling over-the-counter products
- Supporting pharmacy services such as Smoking Cessation, Pharmacy First, and Medicines Care and Review (MCR)
- Managing stock levels, checking expiry dates, and organising deliveries
Essential Attributes:
- Friendly and approachable with strong interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- Computer literate and comfortable using pharmacy systems
- A strong team player with a proactive attitude
Pay: £12.71 per hour
