We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Cold Store Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to the storage, packing, and distribution of goods. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality control.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications, preparing items for shipment.
- Maintain stock levels by performing regular inventory checks and restocking items as necessary.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure that all products meet company standards before dispatch.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, safely and efficiently (training may be provided).
- Handle materials with care during all stages of the warehousing process to prevent damage or loss.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating various warehouse equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Familiarity with materials handling processes and techniques is beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate picking, packing, and quality control tasks.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
