We are looking for an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead our Rotherham operation. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for the site’s performance, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations while developing a high-performing team.
The Role
As General Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, leading operations across production, maintenance, logistics, quality, health and safety, and customer service. Working closely with the management team, you will develop and deliver strategic objectives while maintaining exceptional operational standards.
You will be expected to create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork, ensuring the business consistently meets customer expectations and commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead all aspects of the Rotherham site’s operations.
· Drive a strong health, safety, environmental, and quality culture.
· Deliver production, efficiency, and profitability targets.
· Manage budgets, costs, and operational performance.
· Develop, coach, and motivate department managers and their teams.
· Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
· Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
· Monitor KPIs and use data to improve operational performance.
· Support business growth through effective planning and resource management.
About You
We’re looking for a confident and commercially minded leader with a proven track record of managing manufacturing or industrial operations.
You will have:
· Significant senior management experience within manufacturing, recycling, processing, or a related industrial environment.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
· Excellent commercial awareness and financial understanding.
· Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and operational performance.
· A strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
· Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
· A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
· Experience implementing lean manufacturing or operational excellence initiatives would be advantageous.

Pay: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
