Recruit 4 Construction is recruiting an experienced Groundworks Supervisor for an exciting 8-week civil engineering project near Manchester Airport. This is an immediate opportunity starting on Monday 6th July 2026.
Working alongside the Site Manager, you'll be responsible for supervising groundworks teams carrying out the construction of a number of reinforced concrete bases, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, takes pride in maintaining high standards and knows how to keep a project moving.
We're looking for someone who can communicate effectively with operatives, subcontractors and site management, whilst maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise groundworks operatives and subcontractors.
- Coordinate the construction of reinforced concrete bases.
- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality.
- Liaise closely with the Site Manager and other site personnel.
- Monitor productivity and ensure work is completed to specification.
- Lead daily briefings and maintain site records where required.
Requirements
- Previous experience supervising groundworks or civil engineering projects.
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Experience overseeing reinforced concrete works.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to lead by example.
