We are a family run Garden Centre ideally looking for someone who has retail experience, although not essential, as training will be given. You must be a good team player with a high level of customer service and good organisational skills.
Part of this role will require you to put new stock out, so there will be some lifting and carrying involved and to also cover our tills, also assisting customers with their queries.
The General Assistant vacancy is for Monday to Friday, with one day off each week and working alternative weekends. A uniform is supplied.
The role will involve, providing support across all departments, as required. Candidates must be customer focussed, self-motivated and hard working. Training will be provided.
You will be responsible for:
- Help customers make their decisions and complete the sale
- Working with the team to meet sales budgets, ensuring stock levels are maintained
- Organising customer deliveries ensuring they are completed correctly and efficiently
- Daily care of the department including cleaning and ensuring merchandising material is correct and up to date
- Providing support in other areas of the business when needed, especially at Christmas.
