Overview
We are seeking an energetic and reliable 7.5-ton Multi drop Delivery Driver to join our dynamic logistics team! In this vital role, you will be the face of our company on the road, delivering goods efficiently and safely to our valued customers. All deliveries will be palletised , so knowledge of using electric pallet trucks and tail lifts would be an advantage but full training would be provided. Your driving expertise, combined with a proactive attitude, will ensure timely deliveries and exceptional service. Duties
- Safely operate a 7.5-ton delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at multiple customer locations
- Load, secure, and unload goods with care, paying special attention to fragile or specialised items.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to maintain safety standards and report any issues promptly
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent service and handling any questions or concerns
- Complete accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery notes, and electronic reports
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle throughout your shifts
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with 7.5t or similar commercial vehicles
- Valid driving license suitable for operating a 7.5-ton vehicle with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of transportation and securing loads effectively.
- Strong understanding of driving regulations and safety procedures for commercial vehicles
- Excellent organizational skills to manage routes and delivery schedules efficiently
- Ability to lift and handle goods safely when necessary
- Good communication skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients and team members
