Altrad are currently looking for an experienced carpenter to join the team at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset, United Kingdom for the upcoming project.
This role will involve working 10:15-hour shifts on a 10/4 shift pattern, with start to be confirmed. The position is paid under ECSA agreements, with lodge and travel paid where applicable. Pay rate: £22.82 basic/h. Possible opportunity to work on a non-working day at OT rates. Overtime will not come into effect until your first full working week.
Key Accountabilites:
- Creating design drawings, alongside sketches & specifications of the work needed
- Conducting work in carpentry/joinery work
- Providing service to client relationships and maintaining good service
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with requirements
- Ability to work on other non-carpentry/joinery tasks
- Measuring, marking up, cutting, shaping
- Fitting and finishing timber
- Installing but not limited to floor covering, floor protection, void covers, temporary supports and wall partitions.
- Understanding and working with technical drawings
Key Requirements:
- Solid background in Carpentry/Joinery
- Experience in carpentry/joinery work
- Have the desire and skills to help our business grow
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude with the enthusiasm and flexibility to succeed
- NVQ Level 2 in Wood Occupations (Construction)
- Carpentry and Joiner - Level 2 Diploma
- Apprenticeship in Bench Joinery
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport
