Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit HGV 1 night drivers for our client in Goole.
Hours of work:
- Night Shift
- Various shift patterns available across 7 days
- Various start times
- Driver assessment before any shifts - this will be paid once you complete your first shift.
Salary:
- Mon to Thurs =£18.20 + £2.20 hol pay = £20.40 p/h
- Friday = £20.75 + £2.51 hol pay = £23.00 p/h
- Saturday = £22.30 + £2.70 hol pay= £25.00 p/h
- Sun and Bank Hol = £23.19 + £2.81 hol pay = £26.00 p/h
The Role:
- Ongoing work - different roles
- Some trunking work but mainly store delivery. Mostly regular routes with mixture of delivery runs including 1 hit and 4/5 hit runs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
- Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
- To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
- To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:
- Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat C+E licence with at least 1 years experience.
- Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card and valid Digital tacho card.
- Good communication skills and good customer relations.
- Have a safe driving record with no more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations with no DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
