Care Assistant- Salaried
£27,500 a year | Preston and South Liverpool
Most care jobs pay you per call. If a Client goes into hospital, or the round is quiet, your income drops that week.
This one doesn't work like that. It's a salaried post, paid the same every month regardless of how the rota falls.
Right at Home is a local homecare provider supporting people to stay living in their own homes. Every Carer is directly employed by us.
The role
£27,500 a year, paid monthly, based on 37.5 contracted hours a week.
Shifts are mornings, 7:30 to 15:00, and evenings, 15:00 to 22:30. You'll need to be available for alternate weekends, or one weekend day each week.
What you'll be doing
- Personal care, helping someone stay comfortable and keep their dignity
- Preparing meals, drinks and snacks
- Supporting with medication as set out in the care plan
- Household tasks, cleaning, laundry, shopping
- Safe moving and handling
- Company. Talking, listening, and helping people stay connected to the people who matter to them

What you'll need
- A full UK or EU/EEA driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- The right to work in the UK, and to already be living here — we can't consider applications from overseas at present
- Availability across mornings, evenings and alternate weekends
- Reliability. It's the thing our Clients notice most
If you've never worked in care
That's fine, and it's how a lot of our team started. People come to us from retail, hospitality, hairdressing, customer service, cleaning, warehouse work and driving jobs. If you've spent your working life around people and turning up when you said you would, you have most of what this job needs. We'll teach you the rest.
