Duties
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to execute construction and repair tasks efficiently
- Perform bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, and other structural work with precision and care
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of building components using appropriate techniques
- Follow safety protocols diligently while operating tools and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Collaborate with team members to plan project steps and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are upheld
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Strong knowledge of bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, and general construction practices
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues on-site
- Good physical stamina and dexterity to perform demanding manual tasks over extended periods
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction sites and the proper use of personal protective equipment
