Role overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a 'Sandwich Artist' to work in the SUBWAY department within our Hykeham SPAR store who enjoy having fun working as part of a small team. We are looking for someone who is motivated, friendly, hands-on. Reporting directly to the Subway Duty Manager, as a Sandwich Artist in our Subway, you will display exceptional customer service, greeting and interacting with our customers in helpful and friendly manner, creating a pleasant experience while completing orders.
This role is for a minimum 24 hours a week, you will need to work a mix of mornings (5.30am starts), Mid's, and late's (8pm Finishes) including weekends on a rota basis. Will be required to work extra shifts when needed.

Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Preparing of all sandwich ingredients, to include baking of cookies/bread and washing, cutting, slicing, chopping and grating of ingredients, in accordance with established guidelines.
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain options to customers accurately.
- Neatly prepare sandwiches according to customer orders.
- Re-stock sandwich ingredients to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
- Use the till to record the order, take the payment and give correct change where necessary.
- Understand and adhered to all Subway and company operating processes, policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards when storing/preparing/serving food and cleaning the department.
- Supporting and working within the FTG department along side Subway and in Store when needed.
Key Skills/Knowledge
- Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred
- Some understanding of health and food safety legislative responsibilities in a food environment
- Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving the business forward
- Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently
