Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Practitioner to provide high-quality care and support to children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, including those with special needs, and possess strong communication skills. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development for children of various ages, including toddlers.
- Support children with special educational needs or disabilities by implementing tailored care plans and fostering an inclusive environment.
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
- Observe and record children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones to inform planning and reporting.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other childcare professionals to develop programmes that support individualised learning goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting or similar environment.
- Knowledge of special education principles and working with individuals with disabilities is desirable.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to adapt activities for diverse needs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional support for children's learning is advantageous.
- Genuine passion for working with children, particularly in toddler care settings.
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare are preferred but not essential; however, ongoing professional development is encouraged.
