Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times
- Foster open communication with children, parents, and team members to support individual needs and progress
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that adheres to health and safety regulations
- Lead small groups of children in daily routines, encouraging independence and positive behavior
- Support the onboarding and mentoring of new staff or trainees to promote team cohesion and professional growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience with childcare regulations and health & safety procedures
- Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and adaptability in a dynamic environment
- Valid driving license is preferred for roles involving transportation or home visits
