About EnviroClear/EnviroStock
EnviroStock is a fast-growing stock clearance and asset disposal business. We purchase and sell large quantities of surplus, clearance and returned stock, ranging from palletised consumer goods and office furniture to machinery and commercial equipment.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Warehouse Operative and Forklift Driver to take responsibility for the day-to-day movement, preparation and organisation of stock within our warehouse.
This is a varied, hands-on position. You will not spend the entire day driving a forklift—you must be equally comfortable loading vehicles, wrapping pallets, picking orders and keeping the warehouse organised.
Key responsibilities
- Loading and unloading vans, lorries and shipping containers
- Safely operating a counterbalance forklift
- Receiving incoming stock and checking quantities and condition
- Picking and preparing customer orders
- Packing, palletising, wrapping and labelling goods
- Breaking down mixed pallets and sorting returned or clearance stock
- Photographing and identifying stock when required
- Assisting customers and hauliers during collections
- Keeping accurate records of stock movements
- Organising warehouse locations and maximising available space
- Carrying out basic forklift and equipment safety checks
- Keeping the warehouse, loading areas and yard clean and safe
- Reporting damaged, missing or unsafe stock immediately
- Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
What we are looking for
- Previous warehouse, loading or logistics experience
- A valid counterbalance forklift licence
- Confident loading and unloading commercial vehicles
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and able to work without constant supervision
- Organised and able to keep track of multiple customer orders
- Careful when handling stock and operating machinery
- Comfortable working in a busy, constantly changing environment
- Basic confidence using a smartphone, email and stock systems
- A full UK driving licence is preferred
Experience handling palletised stock, office furniture, machinery, returns or mixed clearance goods would be an advantage.
The right person
We need someone who takes ownership of the warehouse rather than waiting to be told about every individual task.
You should naturally notice when stock is in the wrong place, an order needs preparing, a loading area needs clearing or something could be organised more efficiently. Speed is important, but safety, accuracy and care come first.
This role would suit a practical, dependable person who enjoys varied work and wants to become an important part of a growing business.
What we offer
- Permanent, full-time employment
- Monday-to-Friday working
- A varied role with genuine responsibility
- Opportunity to grow as the business expands
- Training on our stock and warehouse procedures
- Staff discount on selected stock
- [Insert holiday allowance]
- [Insert pension/bonus/overtime details]
Application
Please apply through Indeed with your CV and a short explanation of your warehouse and forklift experience.
