We are looking for a reliable, friendly and self-motivated individual to help run our busy coffee stand.
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can work independently, provide excellent customer service and take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the business during their shift. Please be aware, this is a lone working position with a 6:15am start time during weekday shifts. At the moment this would be a monday & holiday cover as and when needed. This may be increased in the future. This would suit someone with their own transport or person local to the CB4 area.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving a range of hot and cold drinks
- Operating coffee machines and maintaining drink quality standards
- Preparing and serving paninis, jacket potatoes and other food items
- Providing excellent customer service and building rapport with regular customers
- Opening and closing the coffee stand
- Managing stock levels and notifying management when supplies need replenishing
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
- Cash handling and till operation
- Following food safety and health & safety procedures
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business
- Taking pride in maintaining a welcoming and professional environment
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, food service, hospitality or customer-facing role
- Ability to work independently and confidently manage the coffee stand during shifts
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Reliable, punctual and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of the role
Desirable
- Barista experience
- Food preparation experience
- Food Hygiene Certificate
