Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Night Porter to provide exceptional guest services and ensure the safety and security of our premises during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and experience in hospitality or hotel environments. This role offers an opportunity to work in a welcoming setting, supporting guests and maintaining the smooth operation of our establishment through the night. Casa Brighouse has 23 bedrooms, a wine bar, a large restaurant and terraces and 2 large event venues.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures, ensuring a warm and professional first impression
- Respond promptly to guest enquiries via phone or in person, providing accurate information and assistance
- Maintain security protocols by monitoring CCTV, patrolling the premises, and reporting any suspicious activity
- Handle guest requests efficiently, including organising wake-up calls or additional services as required
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and presentable throughout your shift
- Assist with administrative tasks such as logging incidents or maintaining security logs
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of guest satisfaction and safety during overnight hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel reception, guest services, or hospitality is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous for communicating with diverse guests
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to handle guest interactions professionally
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining vigilance and professionalism
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and security procedures
- Flexibility to work part-time hours during night shifts, including weekends if required
- A friendly attitude combined with discretion and confidentiality in handling guest information
Pay: £13.21 per hour
