THE ROLE:
Service and Testing Technician is a workshop based role within Titan Energies Ltd. The Service and Testing Technician is responsible for maintaining our fleet of downhole tools to the highest standards, ensuring they are delivered fully compliant and on schedule in a fast-paced, hands-on role. By carrying out workshop testing in line with defined requirements the role also supports the development of our own and 3rd party technologies.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:
- Downhole tool assembly, disassembly and preparation for inspection or loadout
- Preparation and execution of testing work scopes in line with defined criteria, including data capture
- Operation of Torque Unit, Hydrostatic Testing Bays, HDTR, Strongback (Push-Pull) and other onsite equipment
- Material handling using forklifts and cranes
- Accurate completion of all associated documentation
- Assist with any quarantine review / investigations when necessary
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues related to individual technologies, service delivery. This may involve troubleshooting problems or escalating to the relevant department
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure service delivery is aligned with company goals and customer expectations
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and ensure tools and parts are stored correctly.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to existing work practices, methods and procedures
- Undertake relevant training and development activities as required
- Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines
- Comply with Titan Energies' health and safety policies and procedures
- Perform any reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function in line with the level of responsibility of the role
- Familiarity with the Titan Organisation Chart, from Line Manager to the wider company structure.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Ability to perform all specific responsibilities to a satisfactory standard
- Experience in the operation of workshop testing equipment (e.g., Hydrostatic Testing, Torque Units, Push-Pull systems, HDTR) preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role.
SKILLS
- Organisational Skills – Strong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Attention to Detail – Accurate record keeping in adherence to schedule and deadlines
- Time Management – Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently
- Communication Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance, or a related technical discipline
- Relevant training or certification in mechanical assembly, hydraulic systems, or pressure testing is desirable
- Awareness of quality and safety standards (e.g., ISO 9001, LOLER, PUWER) would be advantageous
- Forklift, overhead crane, or banksman/slinger certification is beneficial but not essential
- Equivalent hands-on experience in a similar service, maintenance, or testing role will also be considered.
