Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Ballet Teacher to inspire and guide students through the art of classical ballet. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster a love for dance while developing technical skills, artistry, and discipline in dancers of various ages and skill levels. As a Ballet Teacher, you will create engaging lessons that promote physical strength, flexibility, and grace, ensuring each student’s growth and confidence flourish in a supportive environment.
Duties
- Design and deliver comprehensive ballet classes tailored to different age groups and skill levels, emphasizing proper technique and artistry
- Demonstrate ballet movements with clarity, providing constructive feedback to help students improve their form and performance
- Develop personalized training plans to support students’ individual goals and progression
- Monitor student progress regularly, maintaining detailed records of achievements and areas for improvement
- Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages creativity, discipline, and enjoyment of dance
- Ensure safety by teaching correct warm-up routines, stretching techniques, and injury prevention methods based on anatomy knowledge
- Collaborate with other dance instructors or staff to coordinate performances, workshops, or special events
Experience
- Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching, preferably within dance or performing arts environments
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to movement, flexibility, and injury prevention to support safe training practices
- Demonstrated ability to teach students effectively across various age groups and skill levels
- Familiarity with ballet techniques, terminology, and classical training methods
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all backgrounds
- Prior experience working with children or young adults is highly desirable
