Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to open and close a village hall and gym facility and oversee the maintenance and cleanliness. This role is to work alongside a regular caretaker, offering cover on 2 mornings and 2 evenings around 1 hour each visit, one of which will be a Saturday.
Responsibilities
- To open and close the building morning and evening
- To ensure that the building remains tidy, and that all furniture and equipment is appropriately stored after use.
- To monitor stocks of cleaning supplies and other consumables and to advise management to ensure they are replenished in good time.
- Cleaning – occasional cleaning of windows, floor areas in the hall and gym, gym equipment, toilets and kitchen.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks or liaise with external contractors for repairs.
Experience
Past experience is not essential. The applicant must be polite, approachable, and helpful and able to maintain confidentiality regarding Hub business, users, and volunteers.
The position would be particularly suitable to someone retired or is flexible with their working hours and local to Ross on Wye. The post is for approximately 4 hours a week but may involve more hours to cover holidays.
Pay: £13.50 per hour
