Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our vibrant residential care home team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to our residents, supporting their daily needs and promoting their well-being. Your leadership skills will be essential in supervising junior staff, ensuring care plans are accurately followed, and maintaining a warm, respectful environment. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized care to residents, respecting their dignity, preferences, and individual needs
- Supervise and support junior healthcare assistants, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility assistance
- Implement and review care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to ensure tailored care delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, health updates, and incident reports using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure transparency and high standards of care
- Support the training and development of team members to uphold best practices in senior and residential care
Skills
- Proven experience working in a care home or senior care environment with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with residents, families, and colleagues
- Ability to develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to individual needs
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation duties or errands related to resident care
- Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, health & safety regulations, and compliance standards

Pay: £13.20 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 48.0 per week
