Evening Senior Care Assistant
Hours: 3:00pm – 10:30pm | 5 evenings per week | Alternate weekends

Absolute Care is looking for an Evening Senior Care Assistant to join our established team, supporting people in their own homes across Loughborough and the surrounding villages.

The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will have an important role in supporting both our clients and our care team. You will help lead, support and develop Care Assistants while ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality care and support in clients' own homes.
- Leading and supporting Care Assistants during evening shifts.
- Promoting clients' dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.
- Supporting the coordination and smooth running of the care service.
- Responding appropriately to concerns or changes in clients' needs.
- Providing guidance and support to members of the care team.
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, colleagues and the office team.
- Helping to maintain high standards of care and professional practice.
- Participating in the on-call rota, approximately one week in every eight.
What We're Looking For
You will need to be a confident and reliable team member with good leadership and communication skills. You should be approachable, organised and able to remain calm and focused when dealing with changing situations.
Applicants must:
- Have at least one year's experience working in a senior care role.
- Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Be willing to undertake a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification, with support provided by Absolute Care.
- Hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle with appropriate business-use insurance.
- Be reliable and committed to providing consistently high standards of care.
- Be able to work 3:00pm–10:30pm, five evenings per week, including alternate weekends.
- Be willing to participate in the on-call rota.
