We are a well-established metal castings foundry seeking a reliable and hardworking Foundry Labourer to join our production team. The hours are 6am-4.15pm Monday to Thursday 39 hours each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with metal casting and mould preparation
- Lifting and pouring liquid metal under a controlled environment
- Handling, moving, and finishing cast products
- Operating basic foundry equipment and tools
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Supporting skilled tradespeople as required
- Following all health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- This is a physically demanding role in a hot industrial environment. You will be required to undertake regular manual handling and heavy lifting, including the knocking-out of sand moulds. The role involves periods of sustained physical activity, so a good level of physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual work safely are essential.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Previous foundry or industrial experience is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided
