Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our Independent Veterinary Practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while supporting the smooth operation of the clinic. This role offers an opportunity to work in a compassionate environment, contributing to the wellbeing of animals and their owners.
The shift pattern for this role is 12pm- 7pm, Mondays to Fridays
Duties
- Greet clients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently
- Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Maintain accurate and organised client records, including medical histories and billing information
- Support veterinary staff with clerical duties to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times
Requirements
- Previous Veterinary Receptionist experience is Essential
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Friendly, professional demeanour with a genuine interest in animal welfare
- Proficiency in basic computer programmes and data management systems
- Flexibility to work during clinic hours; full-time positions are available
