About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and dependable Kitchen Porter to join our friendly village pub in Tedburn St Mary. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team in a busy, community-focused environment.
You’ll play an important role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and organised at all times
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation where required
- Managing waste and recycling appropriately
- Ensuring all hygiene and health & safety standards are followed
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role (pub or kitchen experience preferred)
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and organised
- Team player with a positive attitude
