Altrincham Preparatory School is a well-established and flourishing independent preparatory day school in the heart of Trafford. It is an all-boys school with around 220 pupils aged between 2 and 11 years. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our established and supportive Learning Support team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing and academically ambitious environment.
Working closely with class teachers and the SENCo, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Successful applicants will have:
- experience of working with children within a school or educational setting
- experience of supporting pupils with additional needs
- a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
- a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection within a school setting
- a warm, patient and nurturing pproach to children
- a commitment to promoting pupils' wellbeing, confidence and independence
Hours of work 8.30am-12.15pm Monday to Friday (term-time only)
