We are looking for an Estate Services Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of our estates, grounds, caretaking and voids service. Working closely with the Estates and Voids Service Lead, you will help coordinate and supervise operatives, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard for our residents.
This is a varied and hands-on role w you will support the clearance and cleaning of void properties, oversee site quality inspections, complete health and safety spot checks, lead toolbox talks and make sure staff have the right equipment and PPE for their work. You will also help plan daily workloads, manage stock and equipment, respond to operational queries and liaise with residents, contractors, temporary staff and agencies w required.
You will play an important part in delivering a high-quality customer-focused service across our housing estates, helping to ensure communal areas, grounds and void properties are maintained to the required standard. You will also be expected to work flexibly across the grounds and caretaking teams as business needs require.
You will have experience of delivering a front-line service to customers, with a positive and practical approach to resolving day-to-day issues. You will be confident working as part of a team and able to communicate clearly and sensitively with residents, colleagues and contractors.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, organised and able to manage their time effectively. You will need good knowledge of health and safety procedures, experience of manual handling and the ability to use handheld devices such as tablets or PDAs. Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening, cleaning or basic property maintenance would be beneficial.
You will bring strong leadership skills and be comfortable supporting, guiding and planning work for a team. Experience of team leadership or line management would be desirable, along with COSHH and Manual Handling knowledge, basic property maintenance skills, and an understanding of the importance of value for money when managing stock and equipment.
A full driving licence and the ability to work across our operating area are required. The successful applicant will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate which is considered satisfactory to Housing Solutions.
