Part-Time Breakfast Chef
Location: Garvock House Hotel
Hours: Part-Time, 6:30 am to 10:30 am (4 hours per day), 5 days per week including weekends.
Reports To: Head Chef
Job Summary
Garvock House Hotel is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Breakfast Chef to prepare and serve high-quality breakfasts for hotel guests. The successful candidate will ensure food is prepared to excellent standards, maintain a clean and organised kitchen, and contribute to providing an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast dishes to a high standard, including cooked breakfasts, eggs, bacon, sausages, and other menu items.
- Set up and organise the kitchen for breakfast service.
- Ensure all food is prepared, presented, and served in accordance with hotel standards.
- Monitor food stock levels and report shortages as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Follow all food safety, allergen, and health and safety regulations.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when required.
- Minimise food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
- Work effectively as part of the hotel team to deliver excellent guest satisfaction.
Skills and Experience Essential
- Previous experience in a chef or breakfast cook role.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Desirable
- Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergens.
