Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Aluminium Doors and Windows Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates, and ensuring competitive pricing for aluminium doors and windows. Your expertise will help drive successful project bids, optimize cost control measures, and support our commitment to delivering high-quality, energy-efficient aluminium solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative architectural projects while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Pay rate will be dependant on experience.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and client requirements to develop precise estimates for aluminium doors and windows.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Communicate clearly with project managers, clients, and internal teams to clarify scope details and address any discrepancies or changes.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, quotations, and related documentation for future reference and audits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an estimator in the aluminium or façade industry, with a strong understanding of aluminium doors and windows specifications.
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards related to aluminium fabrication.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers, clients, and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Business Micros - Evolution and Logikal preferred.
- A good understanding of trigonometry with regards to shaped frames.
- Familiar with building control specifications i.e. PAS24, SBD and Doc Q.
- Confident phone manner
