Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans that align with delivery schedules and customer requirements.
- Manage daily routing and scheduling of vehicles to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with drivers, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless communication and problem resolution.
- Monitor transportation activities using IT systems and logistics software to track shipments and optimize routes.
- Oversee compliance with safety regulations, driving laws, and company policies across all transportation operations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and driver logs using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Lead a team of drivers and logistics staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Word, Excel, Outlook—and familiarity with IT systems used in logistics tracking.
- Excellent communication skills in English to liaise confidently with team members, clients, and suppliers.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Computer literacy including experience with transportation management software or other relevant IT tools.
- Customer service orientation to address client needs promptly and professionally.
