Wild Goose, a brand-new and vibrant brunch destination in Aberdeen, is seeking a talented and driven Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. With a focus on fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients, we are creating a unique small-plates brunch experience. We’re looking for a chef with strong skills, creativity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present menu items to Wild Goose’s high standards.
- Work with fresh and seasonal produce to create innovative, flavourful small plates.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across all dishes.
- Keep workstations and kitchen areas clean, organised, and safe.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Support the Head Chef and collaborate with the kitchen team during busy service.
- Assist with stock management, reporting shortages, and ensuring smooth operations.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Commis chef (or Line Cook) in a busy kitchen.
- Culinary knowledge and confidence across different cooking techniques.
- Ability to perform under pressure without compromising quality.
- A passion for seasonal, local produce and delivering memorable dining experiences.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and proactive approach.
