Metra Surveying Ltd is a fast-growing, innovative surveying company delivering high-quality surveying and monitoring solutions across the construction industry. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Monitoring Engineer to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in surveying and structural monitoring who wants to develop their career while working on a wide range of exciting projects.
The Role
As a Monitoring Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and reporting on monitoring systems. You will work with modern surveying equipment and technology to provide accurate, reliable data to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain monitoring equipment.
- Carry out total station and precise levelling surveys.
- Collect, process and quality-check monitoring data.
- Produce clear and accurate monitoring reports.
- Liaise professionally with clients and site teams.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standard.
- Assist with surveying activities where required.
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in surveying and structural monitoring.
- Experience using Leica total stations or similar surveying equipment.
- A good understanding of monitoring techniques and survey control.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- A full UK manual driving licence.
- A valid CSCS card (preferred, or willingness to obtain one).

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
