As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an organised and commercially focused Procurement Coordinator to join our team in Gravesend, Kent.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional looking to play a central role in the successful delivery of multiple construction projects while helping drive procurement excellence across the business.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will oversee the day-to-day procurement activities across our live projects, ensuring materials, plant, equipment and specialist services are sourced efficiently, competitively and in line with project requirements.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Contracts Managers and site teams, helping to ensure projects have the resources they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
· Co-ordinate procurement activity across multiple live construction projects.
· Source materials, plant and equipment
· Obtain quotations and negotiate competitive pricing.
· Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
· Monitor supplier performance, quality and delivery expectations.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and procurement efficiencies.
· Support project teams with procurement planning and forecasting.
· Track procurement progress and proactively manage supply chain risks.
· Resolve supplier, pricing and delivery issues.
· Support the ongoing development of procurement processes and supplier frameworks.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
· Has some previous procurement, purchasing, buying or supply chain experience.
· Ideally has experience within construction, building materials, facilities management, engineering or a related industry.
· Is commercially aware and confident negotiating with suppliers.
· Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
· Can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Enjoys building strong working relationships across teams and suppliers.
· Is proactive, solutions-focused and takes ownership of their work.
