Job Summary
We are currently recruiting experienced Health Care Assistants to join our team and support care homes across Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Crewe, Sandbach, and surrounding areas.
This is a zero-hour contract, offering flexible shifts based on client requirements and your availability.
We are looking for reliable staff who are willing to travel to different care homes as required. Applicants should be comfortable commuting using public transport or their own reliable transport, as shifts may be allocated at different locations.
Before You Apply
Please apply only if you:
- Have at least 3–6 months' UK experience as a Health Care Assistant.
- Live in or can reliably commute to Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Kidsgrove, Crewe, Sandbach, or nearby areas.
- Are willing to travel to different care homes for shifts.
- Can work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Are happy to work on a zero-hour contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist residents with mobility and daily living activities.
- Support residents with meals and feeding where required.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any concerns to senior staff.
- Provide companionship while promoting dignity, independence, and respect.
- Follow care plans, safeguarding procedures, infection control, and care home policies.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3–6 months' UK care experience in a care home or healthcare setting.
- A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
- Willingness to travel between different client locations.
- Ability to use public transport or access to reliable transport.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one).
- Mandatory training completed (or willingness to complete training provided by Care Plus Recruit Ltd).
Skilled Worker Visa Applicants

- Confirmation from your current employer that you are currently employed and actively working for them.
