Location: Rotherham, flexibility required across other VCare24 Services
Contract: Casual/flexible hours
Pay: From £13.45 per hour Inc. 12.07% holiday pay (£15.06)

VCare24 is looking for reliable, compassionate and flexible casual support staff to join our Rotherham team. This role is ideal for people who want meaningful work, flexible shifts and the opportunity to support a range of services across the organisation.
The main role will be based in Rotherham as part of the Secure Transport team; however, casual staff must be able to work flexibly across other areas of the business where required to meet operational needs. These will be in the East Riding of Yorkshire area and will include longer shift patterns, including 24-hour duties where operationally required.
About the Role
As a Casual Support Worker, you will provide safe, person-centered and dignified support across VCare24 services. Depending on business needs, this may include personal care support, residential children’s services and secure transport support.
You will help safeguard those in our care, follow individual care and support plans, maintain accurate records, support day-to-day routines and work in line with VCare24 policies, procedures and regulatory expectations.
You May Work Across
Personal Care
Providing person-centred support to vulnerable individuals, promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing through personal care, effective communication, meaningful activities, and care-plan-led support.
Residential Support
Creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing and positive environment for children and young people, supporting their daily routines, education, emotional wellbeing, personal development and social growth.
Secure Transport
Delivering safe, respectful and dignified transport services for children, young people and vulnerable adults, ensuring their wellbeing and comfort during planned journeys, appointments, assessments and transfers
Key Responsibilities:
You will:
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred support that promotes dignity, independence and positive outcomes.
- Support daily living, personal care, routines, communication and wellbeing, as required.
- Assist with appointments, community activities, transport and placement transitions.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and regulatory requirements.
- Work flexibly across VCare24 services, locations and shift patterns.
- Participate in training, supervision and ongoing professional development.

- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (where required).
- Enhanced DBS clearance and DBS Update Service registration required.
Training and Support
- Full induction and mandatory training will be provided. Successful applicants must complete all required safer recruitment checks and role-specific training before being deployed into services.
