Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Architectural Technologist – Technical Lead to join our innovative design team. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with leadership, driving the development of architectural projects from concept through construction. As a key contributor, you will oversee technical documentation, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure design excellence while adhering to project timelines and budgets. Duties
- Lead the technical development of architectural designs, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with building codes and standards.
- Oversee the creation and refinement of detailed drawings using software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to integrate design intent with practical construction solutions.
- Manage project documentation, including specifications, schedules, and construction details, maintaining clarity and precision throughout all phases.
- Review construction documents for quality control and facilitate revisions to meet evolving project requirements.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members on CAD standards, modeling techniques, and best practices in architectural technology.
- Contribute to project management activities by tracking progress, managing deadlines, and supporting resource allocation for seamless project execution.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technologist or similar role with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical design skills.
- Extensive proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite for creating detailed architectural models and presentations.
- Solid understanding of building codes, construction processes, and material specifications gained through hands-on construction experience or related work.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams on complex projects while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively across disciplines and presenting ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
