Weathershield Maintenance Group is a growing property maintenance and building services company based in Loughton, Essex. We predominantly work with housing associations and clients within the social housing sector, delivering responsive maintenance, day-to-day repairs, planned works and emergency services across a large volume of properties.
Our teams carry out a wide range of maintenance and building works, and we pride ourselves on providing a reliable, professional and customer-focused service. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an organised and proactive Operations Planner to join our team.
The Role
As an Operations Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning the day-to-day activities of our field operatives, ensuring that jobs are scheduled efficiently and completed within required timescales.
You will work closely with operatives, tenants, housing associations, clients, and internal management to ensure that work is planned effectively and any issues are dealt with promptly.
This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple jobs and priorities while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily workloads for operatives on the field.
- Allocate jobs based on location, trade, priority and operative availability.
- Monitor outstanding and completed works to ensure jobs are progressing within required timescales.
- Coordinate appointments with tenants and our clients
- Liaise with housing associations, clients and tenants regarding job progress and access.
- Manage emergency and urgent maintenance requests effectively.
- Reschedule appointments and workloads when required.
- Communicate with operatives throughout the day to provide support and resolve issues.
- Monitor no-access appointments and ensure appropriate follow-up action is taken.
- Update job management systems and maintain accurate records.
- Identify operational issues and escalate them to management where necessary.
- Assist with ensuring contractual and service-level requirements are met.
- Work closely with the operations and administration teams to ensure a smooth service delivery.
- Provide regular updates on outstanding works, delays and operational issues to the team.
- Proactive and capable of solving problems independently.
