Due to continued growth, we are looking for a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator to join our busy and expanding transport office.
We are a well-established vehicle transportation company, providing professional vehicle logistics services across the UK. As we expand, we need someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accurate, efficient administration.
Working closely with the Transport Manager and Operations Manager, you will support daily operations, ensuring fleet compliance, and maintain accurate records to keep the transport operation running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide day to day administrative support to the Transport Manager and Operations Manager
· Support daily transport office operations
· Process transport documentation accurately and efficiently
· Maintain and update the Transport Management System (TMS) and internal systems.
· Liaise with drivers, customers, suppliers, workshops and internal teams
· Maintain fleet compliance records including servicing, MOT’s, inspections, maintenance schedules and defect reporting
· Ensure all vehicle and driver documentation is current and compliant
· Update vehicle maintenance records and co-ordinate servicing, repairs and inspections
· Assist with transport planning, including bookings for deliveries and collections
· Produce reports, update spreadsheets and maintain filing systems
· Handle customer enquiries and provide high-quality service
· Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required
About You
You will ideally have:
· Experience in transport logistics, fleet or general administration (preferred but not essential)
· Experience with a Transport Management System
· Knowledge of fleet compliance and vehicle maintenance administration
· Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
· Good communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships
· Confident use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Word
· Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines under pressure
· A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
