Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate out of hours Emergency Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during emergency dental procedures, including extractions, suturing, and other urgent treatments
- Provide compassionate patient care, ensuring patients are comfortable and informed throughout their visit
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict sterilisation protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any medical concerns or emergencies
- Maintain accurate patient records and document treatments administered
- Support with infection control procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures clearly and answering any questions they may have
- Organise appointments efficiently, prioritising urgent cases while managing routine cases as required
Requirements
- Qualified Dental Nurse (GDC registered)
- Previous experience in a dental practice (emergency or fast-paced environment desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, professional manner under pressure
- Reliable and punctual
