Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Commercial Laundry Manager to oversee the daily operations of our laundry facility. This role involves managing staff, ensuring high standards of service, and maintaining efficient workflows. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linen and textiles
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and oversee training programmes to ensure operational efficiency
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and quality control throughout the facility
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents and chemicals, place orders as needed
- Implement and uphold health and safety regulations in compliance with industry standards
- Liaise with hotels, restaurants and serviced accommodation to meet specific laundry requirements and deadlines
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and coordinate repairs when necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience in laundry management or a similar supervisory role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Knowledge of laundry machinery operation and maintenance is desirable
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to laundry operations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with a professional attitude towards customer service
